God bless the USA
  November

Irgendwann an diesem Wochenende, ich glabe am sonnntach, ham' wa' die Lichter vor uns'rer Garage ausg'wechselt, since on o' da old ones was broke. That took Tom and me quite a while and after having everything installed the lights didnt work... so after takin' everything apart again and connecting two wires that had gone apart again, and putting it back together it worked. That day my friends picked me up and we went bowling. That was fun!

Today is Thanksgiving!!!!

The turkey is already in the oven and the kitchen and all food storage places burst with food. Pumpkin paste, Eggnog and all that stuff. This morning we watched a documentary movie about JFK's death, which occurred on the 22nd of Nov. And Gaye could still remember her sitting with her family in front of the TV hearing about that tragedy.

Hmm, I had a little problem with both my web page and this blog. The Web page picture thing is still messed up and i think its a matter of poor programing from homepage baukasten... still i dont give up.

SO, what happened the past days... Sunday afternoon we all went to JCPenney again, because they had a 35% off on everything and a bought another pair o' jeans, a few T-shirts, and a sweater, and Tom and Gaye bought me a sweater as an early Christmas gift.

On Monday there were auditions for the school play, a musical "a funny thing happened on the way to the forum". For auditioning we had to sing a song, 'and if we didnt know what to sing, we should just sing the national anthem, which would be a hard piece to sing, because of its tone range.' So thats what I did. And the next day, when I talked to Mr Peacock, who is in charge of the music for the musical, he said that I would get a leading part. NICE! After school I almost missed the bus, 'cause i thought we had band practice, but we didn't.

Wednesday the waterhouses, Jameson's family picked me up for church again. And because it was one day before thanksgiving (I didn't know that thanksgiving is such a big thing over here - we even got 3 days off school so we had only school on Monday and Tuesday) there was a big dinner and members from a nearby Lutheran church came over to celebrate that evening with us. We sang with the choir - it was a lovely service.

Last Friday was our last football game... yea, kinda sad, but therefore we have concert season now, as maria wrote in the guest book, she is doin as well.We start playin Christmas music now; we got a piece that has different themes of traditional christmas songs in it, whichs melodies I know from our lovely Christmas songs - its cool!
oh yea, let me stay on topic - football game... we lost 36 to 17 or something, it was an embarrassment. The game was out of county and we had a 1 hour bus drive and because of the long ride we got a nice traveler bus - but we could only get one. So only half the band could go - and Peacock (director) said the advanced would go. But since we actually don't really care about football we had a great time at the game and enjoyed it.

Then, on Saturday i was invited to a birthday party. Gabi, a girl that i know from church celebrated her 16th Birthday and invited about 50 ppl; well 30 showed up... good enough. I was surprised by how many ppl I knew and i talked to one guy, who told me he was on a paint ball team - how awesome! All in all the party was fun, although they played nothing but rap music...

And Today (Sunday),
Jameson and me played a piece with him on the tenor saxophone and me on the trumpet together with the organ. It sounded very nice and we got a lot of complements.

Heute, am Montag den 12. November

Veterans Day concert!!!

Wir spielten typisch amerikanische Maersche, unter anderem Stars and Stripes for ever.
